Trouble reading this email? click here COVID-19 Update Over the past several weeks, the NSW Government has implemented various measures and health orders across NSW to respond to and manage the COVID-19 outbreaks in the state. Rather than impose blanket measures across the entire state, their response has been agile and includes varying levels of measures and orders based on local geography.
These have been altered and, at times, relaxed once the NSW Government and NSW Health have confidence that the level of community transmission is low enough to ease the restrictions.
For Scouts NSW this means that it is even more important for our Leaders to become familiar with and know how to use the information from NSW Health when planning and delivering Scouting.
The Scouting Guide to Coronavirus webpage will still act as the key place to find relevant information and links to NSW Public Health Orders.
To support our Leaders, the Scouts NSW COVID-19 taskforce will focus its efforts to provide guidance to equip Leaders to monitor the rules themselves and manage the risks associated with Coronavirus so they can confidently deliver Scouting in their local community.
Throughout the coming weeks you will notice the information on our website evolving with this new approach.
Below, you will find the latest information to help you prepare for the 2021 Scout year.
Leaders can monitor the rules via the NSW Health “What you can and can’t do” button on the Scouts NSW Guide to Coronavirus page or directly here.
Also, listen for any unexpected updates through news channels, and monitor the latest COVID-19 case locations on the NSW Health website here.
