Important update regarding Direct Billing of the Scouts NSW State Membership Fee Dear Scouting Family,
We are writing to provide an update on the Direct Billing of the Scouts NSW State Membership Fee.
In recent days, you would have received a hard-copy communication in the mail regarding a change in the way you will be invoiced for the State Membership Fee. The change, which would see Scouting families directly billed for the State Membership Fee and pay this fee through an online payment platform, was scheduled to go live on 1 April.
We are communicating to inform you that the changeover to the Direct Billing of the State Membership Fee has been postponed due to a recent and unexpected withdrawal of a critical vendor. As important members of the Scouting community, we wanted to inform you of this as soon as possible.
What this means for your payment of the State Membership Fee
Scouting has always called us to be prepared when unexpected situations arise. In light of the postponed changeover to direct billing, for the immediate next few months Scouts NSW will revert to the current process of managing the State Membership Fee.
This means that you will receive an invoice from your child’s Scout Group which includes the cost of their State Membership Fee as well as any local Group fees. You will be also able to continue redeeming your child(ren)’s Active Kids vouchers as per the redemption method available through the Scouts NSW website.
We encourage you to speak to your Group Leader if you have any questions regarding the payment of your child’s State Membership Fee.
Thank you
We apologise for the inconvenience that might result from this postponement, and we thank you for your patience and understanding. We will continue to inform and update you about any changes to the billing of the State Membership Fee through our email communications and the Direct Billing page on the Scouts NSW website.
If you have any questions about this communication, please speak with your Group Leader or contact the Scouts NSW Member Services Team on memberservices@nsw.scouts.com.au.
